Every Monday I'll be giving you a simple meditation tip. Today's is about having time spend with your pet BE your meditation! If you have a pet, take a few minutes and just BE with your pet. When you pet your dog or cat, just FEEL the fur. Listen to the purr of your cat. Become one with your dog or cat. That can be your meditation.
You can also meditate with your dog while walking it. You could do this with your cat if your cat likes to walk on a leash. This is called Mindfulness and is a form of meditation. Notice the trees, birds. The colors of your surroundings. The aliveness of nature. The sounds of nature. Feel each step as you plant your foot on to the ground. Feel the earth beneath your feet. If you don't have a dog you can just do a walking meditation.
These simple moments throughout the day, walking or petting your pet, can be your meditation. Have fun with this and let me know how it goes! Off to pet the cats, I mean, meditate!
